Brian Kane makes nighttime radio fun with his quick wit, a fun sense of humor, and an exciting mix of today’s adult contemporary hits along with favorites from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. Brian really enjoys audience interaction with callers each night; with contests and "Love Notes, Requests and Dedications". Brian's nearly 30-year radio career started in the Tulsa area, first at very small station where the job requirements included a weekly drive to a local grocery store to record their in-store intercom announcements! Soon thereafter he was on air at KELI ("14K/92K") at a time when the MTV style of music was popular. Brian was part of their morning team, host of the station's weekly countdown show, was acting news director for a time, and participated in wacky promotions that included throwing cash out of a helicopter onto listener's homes. Brian then headed to Ft. Smith, Arkansas, landing an evening spot on KZBB-FM ("B98"). Two years later marriage forced a move that took him to legendary Dallas, Texas powerhouse KPLX-FM. For the next eight years, he worked on the air and as a helicopter traffic reporter. He's worked in News, Talk, and Sports radio at Dallas' KLIF, KTCK and KRLD. But his real love remains with music radio. "We have great fun at night", Brian says. "It's infectious. Every night is new. Our listeners have alot to add to the show, and you never know what direction the callers will take us or what they'll say". Brian is the creator and owner of several music and broadcast related websites. He sold DJ.NET for a record amount in 2002 to a multinational organization. He likes to travel and counts Vancouver, Reno, and the Bahamas as favorite destinations. |
Philosophy: On the radio and off, I'm willing to take risks. Some have paid off in a very big way. And, I've done plenty of dumb things that I've learned from.
